About

Evangelia A. Athanasiadou
Born in Thessaloniki, Greece, I currently reside and work in Chania, Crete. My work focuses on the issue of perception, exploring epistemological, ontological, apparential and semantical levels. I question how one can achieve an objective understanding of reality, given that it exists independently from human beings. I also examine the role of sensory perception and how it compares to sensory experience in terms of accuracy. In recent years, I have been involved in participatory art projects with communities and I work as an art teacher at public school. I am a member of several art groups and associations, and I have partnerships with museums, mental health institutions, organizations, and researchers.
